Colegio Nacional de Batete

Thanks to a Guinean friend who lives in Germany, on 24th February we were able to travel to Batete again, very well accompanied by a friend of hers (and now also ours). She took us to the Colegio Nacional de Batete where not only a group of eight teachers, but also the principle, set to work with us. Despite the sweltering heat, they kept going until the end. Many thanks to Mercedes and Enriqueta!

On the way back from Batete we stopped in Batoipokko, the Bubi village where the “Semana de la Lengua Bubi” (Week of the Bubi Language) is celebrated during these days.
